Who here knows how to use Linux

I’m not nerdy enough yet, I need to make myself a bigger nerd

About 360 of us, including myself. So 361. Lol

I don’t like this stereotype.  There are Linux users from all walks of life.  You don’t need to be a nerd to use Linux any more, thanks to distributions like Ubuntu which come with a “next->next->next”-style installer.

A lot of “nerds” popularise this stereotype because they want Linux to be in their domain, exclusively “theirs” and out of the reach of normal people.  Because it gives them some kind of satisfaction to think that they’re using something that normal people are too stupid to use.  Well, if you really need that kind of reassurance of your own intelligence then you probably aren’t nearly as intelligent as you think you are and you certainly don’t deserve to be making assumptions about other people’s intelligence.
